About Maverick
Maverick was founded in 2011 and is currently managed by two partners of British and American nationality, who between them have an accumulated 40 years of language training experience and 25+ years residing in Valencia. Their experience and local knowledge underpin all aspects of the program’s design.
PROGRAM DETAILS
INTENSIVE LANGUAGE INMMERSION
Program dates: June 27th to July 18th 2026
TWO PROGRAM OPTIONS
SPANISH LANGUAGE INMERSION
- 15 hours/week (3 hours/day Mon-Fri) intensive Spanish course in small groups.
- Pronounced focus on fluency and listening comprehension in Spanish.
- Students assigned to classes according to their levels.
- Additional weekly speaking and fluency-reinforcement classes.
- Leadership workshops and real-world company visits, in collaboration with Maverick Formación and:
INTERNSHIP IN SPAIN
- For recent graduates.
- 4 hours/week of Spanish classes in small groups.
- 3-week internship with Villarreal C.F., a Spanish professional football club:
– Interns will work in an area focused on internationalization, business, marketing, communication, etc. (the specific area and tasks undertaken will depend on the projects that the club is developing, and where they think the intern can best contribute).
– Interns will work in Villarreal some days (where they will travel by train) and other days in a coworking space in Valencia, where they will share the workspace with other interns of different nationalities.
– The distribution of days spent working in one place or the other will depend on the guidelines set by the interns’ supervisor at Villarreal C.F. - Interns will also participate in all excursions and cultural activities.

EXCURSIONS
Excursions and day-trips:
- Day trip to Gandía, a historic city located on the Costa del Azahar, south of Valencia, including a visit to the Palacio Ducal de los Borgia, and the magnificent beaches.
- Day trip to Madrid via high-speed train, including a visit to the city’s historic old town and world-famous Prado Museum.
- Rafting excursion on the Cabriel river, located in the rugged interior of the province.
- Transport and all meals included.

- Located in the university area of the city; a short walk to the Malvarrosa beach and easily connected to the old quarter by public transportation.
- Full room and board for the entire stay.
- Standard single room with private bathroom and study area.
- Also included: high-speed internet; air conditioning; access to common areas (multipurpose leisure area, study rooms etc.); laundry; bedding and towels, changed regularly.
- On-site meal preparation, adapted to any dietary restrictions, served buffet-style.
- Staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
*choice of accomodation prioritizes availability for the entire group; if availability at Reuniver Valencia for the entire group is not possible, accommodation will be provided in an alternative student residence with comparable location and amenities.
